Day In & Day Out

Golden waves in the sky,
Pink jet trails reflecting off the setting sun.
A lonely girl on the distant cliff,
taking in the beauty, one breathe at a time.
Is life only this beautiful,
Or is it always?

The purple hued waves crash on the golden brown sand.
White wash appearing pink,
Like diluted blood.
Sails in the distance,
Floating towards the sun,
As if the journey has just begun.
An endless horizon to explore,
And curiosity lurking miles away or more.

Blood red sand now,
The suns harsh reflection dimming.
White wash wont wash this blood away.
It will sit here,
Night after night.
Never tire,
Only fade.

The deep blue sets in,
Dark & cold.
White wash fades to a purple wave.
Time for this blood to fade away.
Only a line left in the sky,
Shining bright amongst the dark night.

The late blanket falls,
The line covered,
The sand & waves seemingly calm.
Normal.

The girl is gone.
I can only assume the night blanket fell on her too.
I'd rather believe the sails in the horizon took her under their wing,
And she followed suit.
Fleeing into the sunset,
Or so it seems.
Vast thought & feelings
They won't ever fade,
but the sun will always set another day.
